My Spyder's radio turns on automatically every time it starts which is starting to annoy me. I haven't tried turning it off before shutting down so I am not sure that will help? Anyone else has experienced this and knows how to fix it? I got a 2016 Spyder F3 Limited by the way if that will help. thanks!

yeah, auto on radio is absolutely annoying. My buddy's spyder does something similar, and it drives him nuts too. You'd think there'd be a simple 'off at startup' setting, but often there isn't.
Definitely try turning it completely off (not just muting) before you shut down the Spyder.
That's the first thing everyone tries. If that doesn't work, then it's a known Spyder quirk for some owners, and it might just be how that particular head unit behaves

Totally sounds like a similar experience! A friend of mine had a 2015 F3-T, and his radio acted up in the same way, it would start playing whether he wanted it to or not. He ended up getting into the routine of holding down the power button to completely turn it off before shutting off the ignition, and that actually helped. Might be worth a try before diving into anything more complicated.
