BRP app not working on Spyder display

I helped my cousin set up his 2024 Spyder RT and we managed to get the media/music from his phone playing through the system with no trouble. So far so good. Then we figured we could try to get the BRP App going for navigation and all that. Opened it up on his iPhone, followed the steps exactly like the manual and videos said, but... nothing. The display was just BLANK. No app info, no map, nothing. Didn't expect this though because I usually am the "tech" person in the family, that's why this cousin from Chicago still drove to me here in Milwaukee. Anyone experienced this? How to get the BRP app to show up on the screen? TIA.

Wait what? Didn't they ditch that POS old app and switch to CarPlay for Apple devices in 2024?

Yeah, I've heard about that switch too, makes sense they'd move to CarPlay for a smoother experience. Has anyone actually tried using CarPlay on the 2024 Spyder RT yet? How's it working in real life
